Cross Country Club:

Our Cross Country runners have been keen to come to their weekly Wednesday training, despite the bitterly cold weather. They always begin with a warm up and then play lots of fun games that involve running. Finally, they complete their training by running laps around the field in order to build up their stamina.  For the last couple of weeks they have been treated to a delicious cup of hot chocolate to warm them up, after all their hard running! Please make a note of the following dates:

  • Saturday 27th February - boys’ cross country competition

  • Saturday 19th March – mixed cross country competition

Further details will be sent out in a separate letter.

Young Voices:

Our school choir has an annual tradition of representing Moat House at the Genting Arena (formally LG Arena), in Birmingham for the Young Voices event. This year on Thursday 14th January, twenty eight children from Year 2 – Year 6 performed a number of songs that they have been practising regularly in Choir Club. There were approximately six thousand children, who took part in the event and our children were delighted to be a part of that. They all had a wonderful time and sang their hearts out!! The children, staff and parents had a fabulous day and evening but were extremely tired the next day, as it was a very late night!!

Gardening Club:

Our children (and staff!) who attend and run Gardening Club at lunchtimes are delighted to announce that they have reaped their very first harvest. They have produced a crop of potatoes and they are now looking forward to cooking and especially eating them! They are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of more of their produce, which includes onions and green bean.
