Gymnastics

Olympian at Moat House:

On Friday 21st February we were very excited to welcome Sam Oldham, who is an Olympic gymnast, to Moat House. He worked with each class so that they could take part in a fitness circuit this morning and his visit was completed with an inspirational talk about his life, as well as a demonstration in front of the whole school. The children were fascinated to see Sam do the splits and walk on his hands! The children were also given opportunities to ask Sam questions about his life and achievements. Check out our Twitter account for photos of this exciting event @Moat_House We hope that Sam has inspired our children to achieve their dreams!

Year 2 Gymnastics Competition:

On Friday 10th March, some very eager Key Stage 1 children took part in a gymnastics competition at the Alan Higgs centre. They all performed two routines - a floor and a bench routine. There was some tough competition! All of the children displayed great teamwork and sportsmanship. Team Moat House came 11th out of 12 teams. Well done children!
