World Book Day 7th March 2019:
To celebrate world book day 2019, Moat House welcome Cat Weatherill an author/storyteller for the day. The children were given the opportunity to hear her tell the stories she has written with a golbal flavour.
The school library will be opening every Monday lunch time for children to borrow and exchange their Library books.
Week ending 16th Feb 2018:
In answer to demand, the Library has acquired more sets of books by the children's favourite authors, David Walliams, Liz Pichou, Jeff Kinney and Juila Donaldson amongst others. I hope this means that all children will be able to enjoy reading books by their favourite authors.
I am Mrs Tovey and I run our school library. Many of you are aware that the library used to be situated in two busy corridors. After listening to the views of children and parents it was decided to move the fiction and non-fiction books into one room where the children could enjoy reading in a quiet and relaxing environment. Over the summer our amazing new library was created in the old music room. It has been professionally designed with brand new hard-wearing furniture as well as a high quality carpet. I am sure you will agree looking at the photographs that the new library is a vast improvment. The children love using it and have frequently informed me about how amazing they think the library is. The library is timetabled so that all classes have the opportunity to use it and all children are able to select a book to take home at these times. I would ask parents to encourage all children to look after their library books and ensure that they return them on the correct day.
