Year 5 and 6

Welcome to the Upper Key Stage 2 website area.  There are four classes in this phase: 5SH, 5SP, 6CB and 6JK. All the children are aware how important these years are in their school life.  In the morning our lessons include Literacy, Mathematics, handwriting and Guided Reading. In the afternoons we work on a different Creative Curriculum theme each term. The themes cover many subjects including History, Geography, Science, Art and DT. We also make full use of the Computing Suite, teaching a Computing session, one afternoon every week.

Children also get the chance to take part in PE session every week. Children must remember to bring an indoor PE kit (t-shirt, shorts and trainers) and an outdoor PE kit (jumper and tracksuit bottoms). Year 6 children are allowed to wear smart black sweatshirts to distinguish them from the rest of the school.
